AI-first development to transform sustainable farming in South America.
This is a rare founding role for a hands-on engineer who wants full technical ownership and a clear path to CTO. You’ll be the sole technical leader, responsible for taking a real-world product from prototype to market.
As Founding Software Engineer / Head of Engineering, you’ll own and ship the entire technical stack, from embedded firmware through to cloud infrastructure and a user-friendly iOS app used by non-technical ranch workers.
You’ll work directly with the founders, leverage AI coding tools as core development partners, and help prove that a small, highly effective team can outperform traditional engineering orgs.
Own the full stack: embedded firmware, backend systems, and iOS app
Take over and optimise existing STM32-based firmware
Build scalable cloud infrastructure from scratch
Design intuitive mobile UX for low-literacy users
Collaborate with hardware manufacturing partners
Use AI tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) as part of your daily workflow
Travel to South America for real-world field testing and launches
We’re looking for a true builder who thrives in ambiguity and wants to create something meaningful from the ground up.
Must-haves:
5+ years software engineering with shipped products
Strong iOS experience (Swift / SwiftUI)
Heavy user of AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot)
Comfortable owning systems end-to-end
Strong product and UX mindset
Nice-to-haves:
Embedded / IoT experience (C, STM32, LoRaWAN)
Cloud backend experience
Spanish or AgTech exposure
Founding-level equity with a clear path to CTO

Salary: €40,000 – €120,000 (dependent on equity split & seniority)
Equity: Significant founding stake, vested over 3 years
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Travel: ~30% to South America for launches and testing
